IN OUR WORDS

If I wasn't a figure skater ... (Bates) I would be done with college by now.

My favorite thing about being a figure skater is ... (Chock) meeting new people and traveling the world.
... (Bates)
the network of people I have met through figure skating.

I started skating because ... (Chock) it looked beautiful with such a free feeling to it.

I manage my pre-skate jitters by ... (Chock)
listening to music!
...
(Bates) going through my warm-up routine.

My favorite thing about performing is ... (Bates) the satisfaction and thrill of having a great skate.

After I'm done skating, I want to ... (Bates) apply to graduate school, or find a job and work.

My hobbies are ... (Bates) golf and basketball. I also like to play the guitar.

Something most people don't know about me is ... (Bates) well, people are always amazed at how many movies I have not seen. I guess I hardly watch any movies.

The best moment of my skating career thus far was ... (Bates) making the 2010 Olympic Team.
