IN OUR WORDS
If I wasn't a figure skater ... (Settlage) I would want to be a competitive swimmer. When I was younger, I competed in state meets. I swam backstroke and breaststroke. I swam at the High Altitude Training pool, where I met Kozuka Kitajima and Australian swimmers.
I look up to ... (Aaron) my parents.
... (Settlage) because I want to be an artist, I look up to these famous cartoonists: Charles Schulz, William Joyce, Bill Waterson, Gary Larson and Dr. Seuss.
My figure skating hero is ... (Aaron) Sasha Cohen.
... (Settlage) Meryl Davis & Charlie White and Tatiana Volosozhar & Maxim Trankov.
I manage my pre-skate jitters by ... (Aaron) meditating.
After I'm done skating, I want to ... (Aaron) go to college, become a nurse and work in a NICU.
Something most people don't know about me is ... (Aaron) I performed many years in ballet recitals.
... (Settlage) I am a true leftie, but I also skated mirror pairs when I began. I can spin counter-clockwise, and my first partner and I did moves in weird combinations of rightie/leftie.

Favorite costume of my career: My favorite costume would have to be what I wore for my 2011 program to The Nutcracker. I never thought I would ever be asked to wear white pants, but they worked! I have also been able to re-use the costume when I perform in holiday shows. I have a photo of John Coughlin and Larry Ibarra as elves and me in that soldier's costume. You have to see it to believe it!
