Teamed up in September 2007 ... Both competed successfully at the international level with previous partners ... Hoffmann was the 2003 and 2004 World Junior silver medalist with Attila Elek, while Zavozin won the 2005 World Junior title with Morgan Matthews competing for the United States.

Hoffmann started skating when she was 6 ... Suffered severe head injuries in a fall in practice in the spring of 2009, causing the couple to miss the World Championships ... Enjoys dancing, cooking and being with her family.

Zavozin is the son of Russian ice dancers Elena Garanina and Igor Zavozin, who competed at the international level ... Started to skate at 4 but stopped when he was 7 to take ballroom dancing classes ... Took up skating again at age 13 ... Likes traveling, computers, cars and music.
