Meekins began skating at the age of 12 because his sister was taking Basic Skills lessons and he was at the rink with her all day... Participated in the Basic Skills Program ... Skated with Julia Vlassov for six years (2002-08), winning the 2006 World Junior championship together ... Formerly coached by Alexander Vlassov ... Is the middle of five children ...
