Maxwell and Traxler ended their four-year partnership in the winter of 2009 several weeks after the AT&T U.S. Figure Skating Championships, where they finished ninth ... Maxwell is retiring from competitive skating, while Traxler will look for a new partner.

Maxwell began skating at age 3 after watching Kristi Yamaguchi win the gold medal at the 1992 Olympics and seeing her locally in person at the Galleria Shopping Center ... "After that, I bugged my mother constantly to skate every time we went to the mall because I would see the ice rink." ... Participated in the Basic Skills Program ... Formerly skated with Brad Coulter from 2003-05 ... Graduated from Spring Creek Academy in May 2008 and will attend Collin County Community College in the fall ... Works part-time as a coach and in retail at BCBG Max Azaria ... Volunteers at the Stars Figure Skating Club ... Hobbies are dancing, working out and being with friends ... Has a passion for dancing - "It is life to me" ... Something many people do not know about her is that she is afraid of needles ... Would like to be a choreographer on and off the ice after her skating career ... Favorite foreign city traveled to is Zagreb, Croatia, because "it is my first and only one traveled to so far" ... Traxler began skating at age 10 after watching the 1992 Winter Olympics ... Formerly skated with Kristyn Starr (1993-98), Katy Hill (1998-2000) and Alexandra Snyder (2003-04) ... Formerly coached by Warren and Olivia Maxwell (1992-2000) ... Works as a full time skating coach and choreographer when he isn't training ... Hobbies include spending time with friends, gardening and working out ... Says that he loves to laugh and that his laugh is very unique ... His drive and passion for life sets him apart from others ... Has a passion for interior design ... Biggest life-defining moment was moving out of his parents house and living on his own ...
