Larionov lived in Tashkent in Uzbekistan while his father was serving in the Russian Army and took up skating there ... Both look up to 2002 Olympic gold medalists Elena Berezhnaia and Anton Sikhuralidze ... Larionov tested positive for Furosemide, a banned substance, in November 2007, and he was given a two-year ban from competition by the ISU, retroactive to Jan. 18, 2008 ... In April 2009, after petitioning the ISU, his suspension was shortened to 18 months; he became eligible to compete again on July 17, 2009.
