Corona began skating at age 9 because it gave him a strong sense of peace and freedom ... Partipicated in the U.S. Figure Skating Basic Skills program in 1996 ... Graduated with honors from West Chester East High School in June and starting January 2008 will attend Ursinus College, where he plans to major in history/international studies ... Corona's hobbies include reading, rock climbing and scuba diving ... Most prized possession is his dog Aku, a husky/elkhound mix ... Father was an All-American fencer in the 1970s ...     Goals are to continue to improve performances and to represent the United States strongly in qualifying and international competitions.
