After skating together for almost 10 years, Butler and Jacobsen decided to end their partnership in February 2009 ... They both express their thanks to their family, friends and U.S. Figure Skating for help throughout the years ... Butler is looking for a new partner.

Jacobsen began skating at the age of 6 in the U.S. Figure Skating Basic Skills Program ... Graduated from Zupanic High School in Rialto, Calif., in 2005 and is now studying marketing at Orange Coast Community College ... Has two younger brothers - Philip, 18, who plays guitar, and Steve, 16, who is a ballet dancer ... Formerly paired with Janey Mayne from 1997-98 and coached by Christa Rudwalt (1995-97), Irina Rodnina (1997-98), Alexander Zaitsev (1998-2003) and Olexandre Artychenko (2003-04) ... Teaches part time at Westminster Ice Arena ... Most prized possession are his skates ... Hobbies include surfing, sailing and spear fishing ... Favorite foreign country he has traveled to is Japan ... Raises his own chickens in South Orange County ... Biggest life-defining moment is moving to Orange County to continue skating ...
