IN MY WORDS

If I wasn't a figure skater ... I would be a gymnast or a cheerleader.

I look up to ... Helen Keller. She overcame so many challenges to survive. She is one of the most brave and courageous people to have ever lived.

My favorite thing about being a figure skater is ... defying gravity!

I started skating because ... I went to my best friend’s birthday party at the local ice rink. After opening presents, all of us skated. There were some figure skaters on the ice doing spins and jumps. I was amazed! We signed up for skating lessons the next week.

After I'm done skating, I want to ... graduate from college and become an orthodontist.

My figure skating hero is ... Michelle Kwan. She is so elegant and graceful, on and off the ice.

The best moment of my figure skating career thus far was ... winning the junior ladies title at the 2012 U.S. Championships in San Jose, Calif.

My hobbies are ... reading, juggling, tennis, listening to music and hanging out with friends.

I always ... like to juggle and eat a small square of chocolate before competing.

I manage my pre-skate jitters by ... juggling and listening to my iPod .
