IN MY WORDS

If I wasn't a figure skater ... I'd probably be doing gymnastics or dancing. And thinking about it, horseback riding. I absolutely love horses!

My favorite thing about being a figure skater is ... traveling the world and getting to see different cultures. We get so stuck in our own worlds and ways that we sometimes forget there are others around the world living in different conditions and experiencing different struggles.

I started skating because ... my mom's friend took her daughter to a skating class and my mom decided to take me too. I've loved it ever since!

I always ... get a good luck kiss from my mom before I compete.

After I'm done skating, I want to ... go into psychology or forensics. I find forensics so interesting!

MY FAVORITES

Ways to condition off-ice: Hiking, biking, swimming, playing tennis

Music to listen to during practice/warm-ups: Anything that pumps me up and gets me motivated!

Jump: Triple Lutz or triple toe

Way to relax: Hot yoga, laying on the couch, being outside

Olympic sport: Gymnastics, swimming

Book: Hunger Games series and Harry Potter series

TV: Dramas or reality shows

Skating move: Jumps!

Food: Dessert

Program of my career: My short program at 2012 U.S. Championships. It is my favorite because I felt so into the ice and one with my body and performed the best I ever had!

Costume of my career: I love all my costumes and can't really pick out one that is my favorite. My dressmaker captures the mood and theme of the music so well and I've always fallen in love with each dress.

I PREFER

Gloves or No Gloves
