IN MY WORDS

If I wasn't a figure skater ... I would want to be either a tennis player or a golfer.

I look up to ... my friend Harrison Choate, one of my training mates, because I've never seen anyone work harder in my life. I also respect Rafael Nadal for his tenacity and work ethic.

My favorite things about being a figure skater are ... traveling and the feeling of doing a clean free skate.

The best moment of my figure skating career thus far was ... just after I finished my free skate at the 2011 U.S. Championships in Greensboro, N.C. I was so happy with the way that I skated that I didn't really even care about the results, and was just able to enjoy the moment.
