Zhang started skating at the age of 7 after attending a skating birthday party ... Took part in the Basic Skills Program ... Previously coached by Gilles Vanasse (2002-04) and Hongyun Liu (2004-08) ... Began skating pairs with Taylor Toth in the summer of 2009 ... Won the 2010 U.S. junior title with Toth ...
