Hacker skates for the historic Skating Club of Boston ... She finished sixth at the 2008 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, earning herself a spot on the U.S. Team for the Four Continents Championships for the first time ... Recently graduated from the Professional Children's School in New York City and will attend Princeton University in the fall of 2009 ... Started skating at age of 6 after going to the rink with her brother ... Was a member of the 2008 U.S. Figure Skating Scholastic Honors Team ... Won the National Latin Exam Gold Medal and the 2008 Jeffrey Lawrence Award for Excellence recipient ... High Honor Roll (2002-08) ... Volunteered as an organizer for Blades Against AIDS, a skating show that raised more than $30,000 for the Save the Children AIDS in Africa Fund ... Donated to Figure Skating in Harlem ... Co-produced the skating show Edges for Education that raised over $32,000 for the Literacy Center at Boys & Girls Harbor in Harlem ... Oldest brother Michael played football at Middlebury College in Vermont and other brother Matthew plays lacrosse at Tufts University ... Hobbies include dancing, swimming, biking, running and reading ... Most prized possessions are her skates ... Has been a vegetarian almost her whole life and has double-jointed shoulders ... If she could be on any reality TV show it would be "So You Think You Can Dance" because she would like to learn more genres of dance ... Wants to attend medical school ... Late grandfather, Fred Praeger, was the junior breast stroke champion of Austria in the 1920s and competed internationally in track and field events ... During the summer of 2005 she could not skate for four months due to a separated accessory navicular bone, sustained when she slipped down the stairs at the Olympic Training Center ... She passed her junior free skate test on Aug. 31, 2005, just one week after resuming skating ... Would like to meet Olympic champion Tenley Albright, who overcame setbacks in her skating career and later achieved so much professionally as a doctor ... Listens to the Beatles, the Shins, classical music, Dire Straits, Tom Petty and Simon and Garfunkel, among others.
