Competing with tendinosis in his left knee, Savoie finished in fifth place at the 2003 State Farm U.S. Championships ... In his final event prior to the 2003 U.S. Championships, Savoie finished sixth at the Crest Whitestrips International Figure Skating Challenge in Auburn Hills, Mich., Dec. 13 ... In the 2002-03 ISU Grand Prix Series, Savoie rebounded from sixth in the short program to claim the bronze medal at Smart Ones Skate America ...
