Began skating at the age of 9 after watching the 1998 Olympic Winter Games ... Younger brother, Stephen, plays lacrosse ... Formerly coached by Lynne Petta (1998-2000) ... Graduated from Marcos de Niza High School in May 2007 ... Won the school spelling bee at Fees Middle School in 2003 and later placed second in the district ...
