Mahbanoozadeh is a two-time Junior Grand Prix Final medalist (silver in 2008, bronze in 2007) ... Won the U.S. novice title in 2007 and the U.S. intermediate silver medal in 2005.

Mahbanoozadeh started skating at age 5 when he tried it for fun one day ... Even though he was awful, he really enjoyed it and continued to take lessons ... Previously coached by Traci Coleman from 1998-2009 ... Skates at the Michael Weiss Foundation annual show ... Won the National Honor Society Academic Award for above a 4.0 GPA in 11th and 12th grades ... Four-year Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) membership (and active member) ...
