Started skating at age 5 because her mom took her to group lessons to see if she would enjoy skating ... Is the oldest of three children ... Both siblings are athletic; her sister plays premier soccer and softball, and her brother plays premier soccer and select baseball ... Mother is a special education teacher and father is a systems engineer ... Formerly skated pairs with John "Mac" Kern in 2003 ... Begins her first year at Seattle Pacific University and will be considered a sophomore because of her involvement in the Running Start Program (dual college and high school credit) ... Member of National Junior Honor Society (2003-04) and National Honor Society (2006-07) ... Volunteers at her rink (Highland Ice Arena), helps out at Highland SC's annual "Blades on Ice" competition, participates in the Relay for Life and is a "Link Leader" (mentor to younger students) at her school ... Got involved in the Relay for Life because her grandmother lost her battle with cancer in 2001 and her mother is a cancer survivor since 1987 ... Also supports the Arthritis Foundation through the Jingle Bell Run ... Hobbies are boating, learning American Sign Language, playing with her dog, playing basketball with her little brother and watching Seattle Mariners games on TV with her family ... Has a passion for boating with her family ... Loves going to her grandma's house on Orcas Island, where she and her family swim, kayak and go crabbing ... 2008 Season Notes
Will make her senior debut internationally.

Goals are to return to the U.S. Championships at the senior level and place in the Top 10. Would also like to earn a level four footwork sequence and level four spins.
