Liang is the 2006 Four Continents bronze medalist.
Began skating at age 6 when she followed her older sister, Natalie, to skating lessons after watching the 1994 Olympic Winter Games ... Skating was a reprieve from the chaos of a house under repair after a major Northridge, Calif., earthquake ... At the time she was also a gymnast, but she chose skating two years later when combining the schedules became too demanding ... Previously coached by Tiffany Chin (1999-2004) and Christy Ness (2004-05) ... Has won numerous piano awards, including a bronze medal from the Southern California Junior Bach Festival in 2002 ... Learned her first Mozart concerto at age 6, only half a year after starting lessons ... Performed as the soloist with the Pasadena Summer Youth Orchestra when she was 9 ... Was a straight-A student every year since the first grade and graduated as elementary valedictorian in the sixth grade (receiving the Founders' Award Scholarship) ... Was also the ninth grade valedictorian ... Teaches piano lessons part time and volunteers at church as a Sunday school teacher ... Has an older and younger sister ... Hobbies are reading and dancing ... Favorite countries to travel to are Japan and Korea ... Has a passion for God, and says her faith sets her apart from others ... Would like to meet George W. Bush ... Listens to hip hop and Asian pop on her iPod.
