Gilles is the 2008 U.S. junior champion, the 2008 Junior Grand Prix Final bronze medalist and a three-time medalist (one gold, two silvers) in the Junior Grand Prix Series ... Announced in March 2011 that she was leaving coach Tom Zakrajsek at the Broadmoor SC in Colorado Springs, Colo., and was moving to the Detroit SC in Bloomfield Hills, Mich., to be coached by Yuka Sato and Jason Dungjen ... Started competing in Canada in 2012-13.

Started skating at the age of 2 1/2 because her brother, Todd, was already at the rink ... Todd competed internationally for the United States in ice dancing ... Twin sister, Piper, competes as an ice dancer for Canada with Paul Poirier ... Formerly coached by David Kinser (1994-98) and Robin Poe (1998-99) ... Graduated Cheyenne Mountain High School in 2010 and is deferring college admission for a year ... Volunteers at the World Figure Skating Museum, World Arena Ice Hall and Broadmoor Skating Club ...
