Czisny, a two-time U.S. champion (2009, '11), the 2010 Grand Prix Final champion and an eight-time Grand Prix Series medalist, continues to recover from surgery she had in June to repair a torn labrum in her left hip.
She hopes to compete at the 2013 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships, to which she has a bye based on her second-place finish at the 2012 U.S. Championships. The top five senior finishers in each discipline receive an automatic bye to the following year's championships.
Nagasu, the 2008 U.S. champion and a 2010 Olympian, began her season with a third-place showing at 2012 Finlandia Trophy and followed that with a fourth-place finish at 2012 Cup of China, her first Grand Prix of the season, earlier this month.
