(11/29/2011) - Lawrence Mondschein, the chair of the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame Nominating Committee, announced the official ballot for the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame Class of 2012, one that includes nine-time U.S. champion, five-time world champion and two-time Olympic medalist Michelle Kwan. "This is one of the strongest classes of nominees ever presented to our esteemed electorate," Mondschein said. "It promises to be an exciting class."
All nominees on the ballot have met criteria established by the nomination committee. Those elected into the Class of 2012 will be announced Dec. 15 and inducted in ceremonies at the 2012 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships, which will be held Jan. 22-29 in San Jose, Calif.
