U.S. Figure Skating announces broadcast schedule

NBC Sports will air 13 hours of live and taped coverage of five Grand Prix events, including 2011 Hilton HHonors Skate America and the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final. Universal Sports will feature original programming as well as re-broadcasts of NBC Sports' coverage of the Grand Prix Series. Icenetwork.com and UniversalSports.com will both offer complete live and on-demand coverage of the Grand Prix Series on a subscription basis.
In addition, NBC Sports will carry nine hours of live and taped coverage of the 2012 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, held Jan. 22-29 in San Jose, Calif. Icenetwork.com will provide live and on-demand coverage of the Championships on a subscription basis.
"U.S. Figure Skating is pleased that NBC Sports, Universal Sports and icenetwork.com will work together once again to offer complete coverage of every skater in the Grand Prix Series and at the U.S. Championships," said David Raith, executive director, U.S. Figure Skating. "We are excited to give our fans access to the best coverage of the most prestigious figure skating events in the world."
A detailed broadcast schedule for Universal Sports, UniversalSports.com and icenetwork.com, in addition to subscription information for UniversalSports.com and icenetwork.com, will be released at a later date. Both sites will also feature news, blogs, photos and results for all users.
