Olympic gold medalists Evan Lysacek, Sarah Hughes, Tara Lipinski to ring The Closing Bell®

(02/10/2011) - U.S. Figure Skating will visit the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, and ring The Closing Bell® to honor the 1961 U.S. World Figure Skating Team and celebrate the release of the cinematic feature RISE. To honor the event, Olympic gold medalists Evan Lysacek (2010), Sarah Hughes (2002) and Tara Lipinski (1998) will ring The Closing Bell.

Tuesday marks the 50th anniversary of the plane crash that killed the 34-person U.S. World Team on Feb. 15, 1961, while on its way to the World Championships in Prague, Czechoslovakia. The 1961 U.S. World Team was posthumously inducted as the Class of 2011 into the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame at the 2011 AT&T U.S. Figure Skating Championships.
