Lysacek, Nagasu to be honored at Toyota Sports Center

(03/04/2010) - The Toyota Sports Center will host a reception to honor its Olympic Figure Skating team members and celebrate their outstanding success at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. Gold medalist, Evan Lysacek and U.S. national silver medalist Mirai Nagasu, who placed fourth in her Olympic debut, will be honored, along with Olympic coaches Frank Carroll and Christa Fassi.

The reception will begin at 6:00 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m. and will feature music, presentations from city officials, and a unique Q & A session where attendees can ask the team members about their Olympic experiences from Vancouver. Seating for the event will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Toyota Sports Center, at 555 N. Nash Street in El Segundo, is the official training center of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings, NBA's Los Angeles Lakers and WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks as well as the home rink for Olympic Coach of the Year, Frank Carroll. The six-acre site includes two public ice rinks (NHL regulation-size and Olympic Size), an outdoor in-line skating rink, retail shop, dance studio and a restaurant. The complex is open to the public for ice and in-line skating.
