Come see the next potential Michelle Kwan or Scott Hamilton entertain friends and families at a great price. Show performers are gathering from all over the country for this worthwhile cause benefiting the North Jersey Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. Tickets are just $25 for adults and $15 for children. For those who would like to meet the stars, VIP tickets are only $75, with available on-ice seating to see them up close for $100 per ticket.
Stand Up for Life also features a survivor tribute, which is particularly meaningful for many figure skating fans whose lives have been touched by cancer. Along with the skating, there will be a standout stand-up comedian, Ray Ellin; a fabulous live band, The Infernos; circus entertainment for the kids; and a special auction of items Baiul has donated, including an exclusive opportunity to win private skating lessons with the champion.
Information about Susan G. Komen for the Cure® will be available at the event. A majority of 75 percent of the proceeds will be used in nine Northern New Jersey counties -- Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union, and Warren -- to support community-based education, screening and treatment programs for uninsured populations. The remaining 25 percent will be directed to national research to find cures.
Stand Up for Life will be held on May 2 at 7:00 p.m., at 560 Northfield Avenue in West Orange, N.J. Tickets can be purchased online at www.standupforlife09.com or by calling 973-731-3828 ext. 0.
