(01/09/2009) - 2008 Canadian pair champions Anabelle Langlois, 27, of Gatineau, Quebec, and Cody Hay, 25, of Grande Prairie, Alberta, announced their withdrawal today from the 2009 BMO Canadian Figure Skating Championships due to injury.

They will continue to train and will still be in consideration for the 2009 ISU Four Continues Figure Skating Championships, as well at the 2009 ISU World Figure Skating Championships.

In July 2008, Langlois suffered a spiral fracture to her lower right fibula during a practice session and subsequently had surgery. Langlois and Hay were originally assigned to the 2008 HomeSense Skate Canada International and the 2008 NHK Trophy earlier this season, but they had to withdraw from those events as well.
