Gold, Brown highlight North America lineup at TCC

Gracie Gold and Jason Brown are among the skaters who will compete for Team North America at the 2016 Team Challenge Cup, competition orgainizers announced Monday.

World champions Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford of Canada lead the pairs contingent, which will also feature 2015 U.S. champions Alexa Scimeca and Chris Knierim.

Team North America's ice dance lineup includes world silver medalists Madison Chock and Evan Bates of the United States as well as two-time world medalists Kaitlyn Weaver and Andrew Poje of Canada.

Joining Gold and Brown on the singles side are a pair of 2015 Canadian champions, Gabrielle Daleman and Nam Nguyen.

Athletes from the United States and Canada were invited to participate in the Team Challenge Cup based on the ISU World Standings as of Jan. 1, 2016.

Team Europe will be announced March 2, and Team Asia will be introduced in Tokyo on March 9.

Fans will also have the opportunity to vote one lady and one man onto each team (North America, Europe and Asia) starting March 9 and continuing through April 4 on TeamChallengeCup.com.
