'Disappointed' Farris withdraws from Grand Prix

2015 U.S. bronze medalist sidelined by concussion, training on hold

Joshua Farris will not compete at either of his Grand Prix events this fall, Skate Canada and NHK Trophy, as he recovers from a concussion, U.S. Figure Skating announced Friday.

"I couldn't be more disappointed to withdraw from my Grand Prix assignments," Farris said.

Farris enjoyed his best year to date last season, earning his highest placement as a senior at a U.S. championships and claiming silver at the 2015 Four Continents Championships
"I am steadily healing and hope to be back on the ice as soon as possible," said Farris, who finished 11th in his worlds debut last season.
