Team USA sweeps ladies podium in Bratislava

Le takes title in international debut; Miller jumps her way to silver

The 2014-15 junior international season continued with Grand Prix Bratislava, where Team USA swept the ladies podium.

Making her international debut, Vivian Le took the ladies title with 169.88 points. The reigning U.S. novice champion, who recently won the junior ladies title at the 2015 Midwestern Sectional Championships, easily won both the short program and free skate, besting her competitors by 8.25 points.

Her free skate, set to music from On Golden Pond by Dave Grusin, featured five triple jumps, including an opening triple Lutz-triple toe combination worth a program-best 8.00 points. She earned Level 3's and 4's on each of her spins and choreographic elements, amassing 110.36 points for the segment.

Finishing second, Hannah Miller earned 161.63 points for her efforts in Slovakia. The 2012 Junior Grand Prix (JGP) Final silver medalist garnered 109.09 points for her free skate, which included a triple toe-half loop-triple Salchow combination and three Level 4 spins.

Rounding out Team USA's podium sweep, Olivia Serafini earned 139.86 points in her international debut. Her free skate opened with a triple flip-double toe combination and included four additional triple jumps and two Level 4 spins. She earned 94.31 points for the segment.
