Skaters descend on Ljubljana for JGP Slovenia

Seven athletes set to compete as Junior Grand Prix Series continues

The 2014 Junior Grand Prix Series continues Aug. 28-30, in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The event, being held at Hala Tivoli, begins Thursday with the ladies and men's short programs.

Seven athletes will represent the United States in ladies, men's and ice dance. Icenetwork will provide recaps, photos and blogs.


Leah Keiser begins her second JGP season. She qualified for the 2012 Junior Grand Prix Final and placed sixth. Most recently, Keiser finished 10th at the 2014 U.S. Championships.


Shotaro Omori, the 2013 world junior bronze medalist, has competed internationally since 2011. Luke West, the 2014 U.S. novice bronze medalist, will make his international debut in Slovenia.

Ice Dance

Holly Moore and Daniel Klaber have finished fourth as juniors at the last two U.S. championships. The 2013 JGP Slovakia bronze medalists begin their third international season together. Julia Biechler and Damian Dodge will compete internationally for the first time as they enter their third season together.
