Tarah Kayne, the 2014 Four Continents pairs silver medalist with partner Daniel O'Shea, underwent right hip surgery on July 28. The surgery was performed in Vail, Colo., by Dr. Marc Philippon.

Kayne is rehabilitating at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs and expects to return to full training in the coming weeks. The team is scheduled to compete this fall at 2014 Cup of China (Nov. 7-9 in Shanghai) and 2014 Rostelecom Cup (Nov. 14-16 in Moscow).

Kayne's surgery adds to an already turbulent offseason for U.S. pairs skating. Several prominent teams have broken up, and 2013 U.S. champions Caydee Denney and John Coughlin announced that they are taking the year off to rehab Denney's ankle injury.

Kayne and O'Shea train in Ellenton, Fla., under Jim Peterson.
