The 2008 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series continues with its fourth event, Trophée Eric Bompard, in Paris, Nov. 13-16. Approximately 59 skaters from 16 countries, including nine Americans, are competing for points and prize money.

Skate Canada announced Monday that Reader's Digest will join the Skate Canada national sponsor family. Reader's Digest has signed a two-year contract that will run until July 2010. 09/01/2008 U.S. Figure Skating mourns passing of Iobst
Former U.S. Figure Skating President Oscar Iobst died Saturday night, Aug. 30, in Colorado Springs, Colo., at the age of 85. Iobst served on U.S. Figure Skating's Board of Directors from 1971-86 and as the organization's interim executive director from 1992-93. Iobst was inducted into the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 1998.
